SwamiOmkarananda is a disciple of
Swami Paramarthananda
and has lectured extensively in the south. His lectures,being in
the regional language,Tamil,enable easier understanding of the
subject matter, usually the Vedantic texts and the Upanisads.
The usage of simple words and lucid language
lend an informal touch to his lectures. His knowledge of major Tamil
literary works is commendable. An excellent blend of the scriptures
with the literary works is a unique feature of his lectures.
The Swami Chidbhavananda Ashram in Theni is run
by the Vedanta Sasthra Prachara Trust, founded by Swami
Omkarananda,is primarily a residential institution for teaching
scriptures, on a non-commercial basis to youngsters through
comprehensive 3-4 year courses. The medium of education shall be
Tamil and Sanskrit.
