TattvaBodha

We see that all human beings are involved in different types of pursuits in their lives. Right from childhood we see that the child works for getting something, initially it may be food, later it may be toy, still later it may be some gadget or something and afterwards it goes for house or various other objects. Even though all the people seem to pursue we do not find the pursuits to be uniform .

Different people seem to pursue different things...there are as many pursuits as many human beings themselves. Even though these pursuits are seemingly different, on analysis, we find in all the pursuits there is something common which everyone uniformly desires. That one thing we can put as Sukha Prapthih, he wants happiness, joy or comfort in his life.

Even though outwardly the things are different in and through different pursuits everyone uniformly desires one thing only - peace, comfort, joy in life. Therefore we can say that all the people, all beings, are all working for Sukha Prapthih. But on further analysis , we find that it is not merely Sukha Prapthih, I also want Dukha Nivrithih, freedom from pain, freedom from sorrow also I am interested in. Therefore, we can generally define every pursuit either as getting something or getting rid of something.

Putting in simple language, I am working for Dukham free Sukham, I am working for painless pleasure. All beings are working for Pure Happiness. Happiness unmixed with pain. If you analyse further, I not only want pure Sukham...but also I want continuous, long lasting, till I breathe my last, I want Sukham, therefore, we can say Nithyam Sukham

I want Sukham
I want Sukham which is not mixed with Dukham
I want Sukham which is long-lasting and lastly..
I want maximum Sukham, where I can no more go further, infinite..

Do we succeed in this step? Does anyone at the time of death say,Everything is fine?...We seem to continue to be miserable, wanting or lacking, some people recognise this problem...but majority of people are sheepish, they continue the struggle, and die struggling not even recognising that there is something wrong in their very diagnosis of the problem...

Scriptures try to discuss this fundamental problem of the human being. Only if I discover the Ananda (happiness), as my own true nature , then alone I can hope to be happy permanently. As long as I want it from outside, I cannot get it

Atma Vidya(Self knowledge), alone is the solution to all our problems according to scriptures.
