Introduction
The Vedic Heritage Teaching Programme is a guide for educational
institutions, communities and families that wish to teach the Vedic
Heritage to their children in an authentic, systematic manner. The
subject matter has been organised into three volumes / twelve parts,
tailored to the ages of the children.
Growing up in
the modern society implies exposure to the global culture, being
exposed to the media and having access to the world of Information
Technology. Indian children living in the West as well as living in
India need to study their heritage in an instructive and deliberate
way if they are to imbibe it in their own lives. For decades, Indian
parents in the West have felt the need to understand the
significance behind their cultural and religious forms in order to
educate their children. To address these needs, the Vedic Heritage
